Emergency guidance

Your safety comes before any task. Leave any situation that doesn't feel right — you'll never be penalised for it.

In an emergency

Call 999

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services first. Neighbour cannot provide emergency assistance and does not monitor messages in real time.

Useful UK numbers

  • 999 — police, ambulance, fire in an emergency.
  • 101 — police non-emergency.
  • 111 — NHS non-emergency health advice.
  • 0808 223 1133 — Citizens Advice consumer helpline.
  • 0808 2000 247 — National Domestic Abuse Helpline (24 hours).
  • 116 123 — Samaritans, free, any time.

If you feel unsafe but it isn't an emergency

  • Stop the task and leave. You do not need to explain yourself first.
  • Move somewhere public or to your vehicle before messaging anyone.
  • Cancel the booking in the app once you're safe — funds stay held.
  • Report what happened so our team can review the account.

Then tell us
