Reporting

Reporting & moderation

If something feels wrong, tell us. Reports are confidential and always read by a person.

What you can report

  • A neighbour — harassment, abuse, scams, impersonation or unsafe conduct.
  • A task — prohibited, unsafe or misleading listings.
  • A message — off-platform payment requests, phishing or abuse.
  • A booking — unsafe behaviour, work not as agreed, damage or loss.

How to report

Look for the Report option on a profile, task, conversation or booking. Choose a reason, add anything that helps us understand what happened, and send. It takes under a minute.

What happens next

  • Your report goes straight to Neighbour's safety team — not to the other person.
  • We review the account, the conversation and any related bookings.
  • We may issue a warning, remove content, restrict features or suspend an account.
  • Where a payment is affected, funds stay held while we review.
  • Serious matters are referred to the police or other authorities.

Confidentiality

We never tell the person you reported who raised it. We may contact you for more detail. Deliberately false or malicious reports are themselves a breach of our Community Guidelines.

Prohibited on Neighbour

  • Anything illegal, or work requiring a licence the helper doesn't hold.
  • Gas, major electrical or structural work outside a qualified trade.
  • Handling of medication, personal care or regulated childcare.
  • Transporting people for payment, or carrying unknown packages.
  • Requests for cash, gifts, loans or access to bank accounts.
  • Discrimination, harassment or intimidation of any kind.
